Hiking Highlight (Segment)
The Höllentalklamm is very beautiful, but the ascent to the Höllental entrance hut is exhausting and sweaty. There is reduced admission for members of the Alpine Club.

It's so beautiful that you don't even notice how it is steadily going up. If you start very early, no one takes admission :-)

The Höllentalklamm near Grainau, Hammersbach district, is a real experience. It goes pretty uphill before you reach the entrance of the gorge. Nature lovers will find an unforgettable natural spectacle through the unique gorge with its many waterfalls, small tunnels and passages that are illuminated. In the snow-free period from mid-May to the end of October, the gorge is open 24 hours a day. Please do not forget to wear appropriate clothing, because it is a very humid place in the gorge and even in summer the temperatures are sometimes cool. The Höllentalangerhütte at 1387 m above sea level invites you to stop for a break. You can also spend the night here and there are drying rooms for clothes should it ever get too wet. From the Höllentalangerhütte there are further ascents such as On the Alpspitze or the Matheisenkar or even on the Zugspitze, admission to the Höllentalklamm currently costs: For DAV members adults: 2.00 €

We started off the riffle over the Höllentalangerhütte. It is nice but very far. Can not understand how people with small children do this tour.

Pay attention to the entrance fee. Whether this is justified, everyone must decide for themselves. In my opinion worth a visit. However, it drips from the ceiling, so who is sensitive to it: put on rain jacket.

The roar of the water masses, these primeval forces that have washed this gorge into the rocks in millions of years is overwhelming.

Easy walking, weatherproof clothing is an advantage.

Definitely worth it, we walked through with our dog. Is a really nice route 😊

If you already know the path through the gorge enough, you should try the Stangensteig which climbs steeply to the right just before the entrance hut and later meets the gorge path again at the end of the gorge. Then continue individually

Very cool place in summer. The temperature in side could be 10 degrees lower, and some parts in the caves are wet and slippery. Waterproof and sturdy shoes/jackets required. A flashlight would be useful as well.

Absolute hiking highlight in the Zugdpitz region. You walk through the gorge through tunnels and bridges. Pure Adventure
