In 1903, the railway line went through the Albula Valley over the Albula Pass to St. Moritz in the Engadin, a technical masterpiece, which is now recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In 2012, the Railway Museum opened in the Bergün station: "Here, visitors learn about historical and current aspects of the most spectacular of all Swiss railway lines as well as information on the history of construction and the economic and social changes caused by railway construction, thanks to multimedia-designed rooms and original exhibits."
