The Old Town Hall is the oldest Renaissance building in the center of the Czech city. On the pillar at the north corner is a copy of the statue of Roland. An iron cubit is fastened to the lower part of the pillar, an old measure of length. Buyers who bought fabrics on the marketplace could measure them right away.
There was a pillory on the middle pillar until 1726. The exhibition of the local history museum is housed in the building.
