A refreshing winter hike in the snow, mostly on open paths in Versmold and Borgholzhausen. We passed Holtfeld Castle, Spiekerhof, warmed up at the Piumer Stadtcafe (open Thursday to Sunday from 11 am), Hurlbrinks Mill, Borgstedts Mill, and enjoyed fantastic views of the snowfields and toboggan run in

4 degrees Celsius, no rain, hardly any wind, and on the way back, we were riding into the low-lying sun – the weather couldn't be much better here at the end of November! The "Herford Light Railway" operated a narrow-gauge railway from 1900 to 1966, covering a distance of almost 41 km and connecting to the "Bielefeld District Railway." Railway enthusiasts can learn more at the Enger Railway Museum.



Our spontaneous autumn trip for three, planned yesterday after a glance

The weather is perfect!



So, hop on your bike and head into the colorful autumn woods: through the Harsewinkel Boomberge hills, along the Herzebrock forest path, into the Rheda Forest, and along the beautiful Ems promenade in Rheda-Wiedenbrück! A detour to Rheda Castle and the Wiedenbrück market square

Just a few quick shopping trips for the weekend – and then off we go: a spontaneous two-day bike ride, because the weather forecast is perfect!



So, no car for dinner with friends, but an overnight stay.

Our last evening! One last stroll through the bustling Plaka, past the street musicians, up to the Acropolis, and experience the fantastic sunset on the Areopagus rock! Hundreds of others are planning the same – today, at 6:53 p.m., it's happening!

Four metro lines in Athens are easy to navigate. If you have trouble with the Greek script on the ticket machines, you can buy your tickets at the station kiosk in Monastiraki – like we did! Line 1 takes us quickly to Greece's largest port – Piraeus.
