The winding tower was 72 meters high and was clad with anodised aluminum sheets. In the tower, a 4.4 megawatt powerful electric tower hoist installed. ..."

The shaft went into operation in 1906. In 1944 the shaft was destroyed in a bombing raid, it was put back into operation in 1950 and was given the additional name Paul-Reusch-Schacht. In 1993 the mine was shut down and filled.
