This great hike was planned and led by @Frank Bernhard Schnitger for the Facebook group Wanderbares Ruhrgebiet. The route once again refuted the prejudice that the Ruhr area is only grey and dreary. The route mostly went through forest areas, which made today's temperatures somewhat bearable.

Today the hike was without a plan. Since it rained the first 10 km (around 10 a.m. the announced rain break surprisingly set in), my only plan was to take paths that were asphalted or had a firm forest floor, so that no large puddles were to be expected. It worked quite well.
