Tips

  • Jenni

The Hochgern is with a height of 1748 m a brilliant view summit on the edge of the Chiemgau Alps. You can climb it on easy trails and let yourself be pampered on one of the pastures.

The Chiemsee is almost at your feet on the summit of Hochgern. The view is fantastic in good weather - whether on the lowlands or in the surrounding mountain ranges such as the Kaisergebirge.

The Hochgern summit is one of the beautiful peaks in the Chiemgau Alps. The ascent there is not without, it is relatively long. The reward: a fabulous 360 ° view.

Thank you Alpenplan! You can walk up and down again. Several paths lead to the Hochgern and the view is just great!

Fantastic 360 degree panorama from Lake Chiemsee on one side to the Großglockner on the other side.

The ascent from the Staudacheralm is steep and requires a lot of sure-footedness.

Certainly very nice here at sunrise, because you have a very wide view.

Great view, although usually a bit crowded but worth the climb. Especially the walk to the second summit with the miniature church!

Hochgern with its two peaks. On one side a cross on the other a miniature church.

The way to the summit is definitely worth it. A little more comfortable from the Hochgern-Haus and those who like it strenuous can approach from the Staudacher-Alm. Anyway - a dreamy spot

From Hochgern you have a wonderful view of the Chiemsee. The path goes over small forest paths to just below the summit. The last part goes on a path.
