Only the prickly juniper was spurned by the sheep, which led to the juniper heaths that were once typical of the "Franconian" people.
Today many rocks have disappeared back into the forest and juniper heaths have become a rarity. Nevertheless, there are still some places where this beautiful cultural landscape has been preserved.
