More interesting than the column cave C 44 itself is the tree whose roots cover the cave entrance. The trunk first grows downwards and then turns 180 degrees upwards. According to legend, an underground path has led from the cave to the castle of Niesten. The way to and from the cave is not marked, rarely committed and hard to find without gps!

Hmm, well there are definitely more spectacular highlights.
You can't really get into the crevice, and there is also a great danger of falling rocks from above.
Please be really careful, this can quickly end badly...More interesting than the cave I found the quarry-like "lane" at the end of which is the gap.
Here you can look at the different limestone layers, and with a bit of luck even find one or the other fossil - the petrified shell that I found lies on a ledge to look at.The way to the cave is well signposted at the beginning and in good condition, the closer you get the more the way gets lost.
