The friendly village Hörnum on Sylt is surrounded on all three sides by sea and beach. Hörnum is a rather young village compared to the other villages on Sylt. Not yet a hundred years old, Hörnum was at the beginning of the 20th century, first dock for bathing vessels from Hamburg, then until the 90s, an important military base and since then an attractive tourist resort for guests.
