Hiking

The lock dates from 1876, when the passage of 100 meters was dug to save about 5 km in bends. A weir and a lock were built on the canalized section. The original wooden drawbridge was replaced in 1896. The locks, with cross-reinforcement and wooden lift valves, are manually operated. There are also two lock master houses on the lock itself, dating from the 1860s, one of which now houses a small museum run by the non-profit organization Historische Vaartuigen.
