In Heimbach there is a small sample vineyard with different grape varieties. He should remember that in the Eifel earlier wine was grown.
For me as a Moselan a bit puny - but works. ;-)
Even in the hot and dry summer of 2018 - when the farmers complained about the drought - it turns out that wine copes very well with these temperatures and that the deep roots still find some moisture.
