The Driessenven is a swampy area that was reclaimed in the 20th century to create agricultural land.
Since 1986, the agricultural land has no longer been used as such. The low-lying area soon filled with water again, but due to the area's agricultural past it is now very nutrient-rich.
It is a quiet area, surrounded by beautiful forests and dunes.
