The tower was built around 1400, is part of the city wall and served as a prison.

Also called "guilt tower", the punishment tower acted as a prison for lighter offenses. The construction was completed at the beginning of the 15th century, the conical roof was built later. Either 1656 or 1730.
The tower serves as a nesting and resting place for birds and bats, in particular under the aforementioned conical roof. On the city wall in front of the tower, you can sit well and enjoy the view of the Tauber Valley.May 28, 2017
