This alp is the last in the Traufbachtal. If you made it up here, you deserve a break. You will be welcomed on the Traufbergalpe from the end of May to the end of September. There is a hearty snack and homemade cake.

Traufberg was originally a permanent settlement. It was first mentioned in 1333. Today's Alpe was formed from at least four different pasture areas of the old Traufberg. The Alps were originally named after the owners of Schrättlers-, Edelmändlers- and Übelhörs Traufberg.
In 1877 the Edelmändlers-Alpe was acquired by the Prince Regent Luitpold and then went to Baron von Heyl in 1900 through an exchange contract. He brought almost all of the property in the valley into his hands during these years. The association of former lawyers finally bought all of its property in 1953.
Today's alpine hut is located at 1217 m and is open in summer from late May to late September. In addition to a hearty delicious snack, there are also homemade cakes.
The steep path on foot or by MTB is worthwhile.

The Schrättlersalpe (1217 m) (rear Traufbergalpe) below the cone head.
From Spielmannsau through Tobel to Traufberg and from there to the end of the valley.
