Kronvaldis Park in Riga is a wonderful place to take a breather during a city tour and enjoy nature in the middle of an urban area. The spacious park impresses with old trees, lovingly planted flower beds and an idyllic pond with a fountain, which is particularly inviting on sunny days. There are enough quiet corners to simply switch off and leave the hustle and bustle of the city behind.

A particularly beautiful detail in the park is the small lighthouse on the bank of the pond. This almost maritime touch fits surprisingly well into the otherwise rather classic park and creates an exciting contrast. There are also a few monuments here, such as the statue of Pushkin, which gives the walk an additional cultural touch.

If you are a fan of architecture, you will also appreciate the park's proximity to Riga's famous Art Nouveau district. A short detour from here and you are in the architectural heart of the city. The Chinese pavilion in the park, a gift from the city of Suzhou, is also a nice addition to a varied tour.

The only criticism: on some days it can be a bit noisy, especially in the busier areas, as the park is very popular. But if you walk a little off the main paths, you will definitely find the peace and quiet you need. All in all, a wonderful place to discover Riga from a green side!
