The Naval Memorial Laboe has been erected as a memorial to the German marines who died in the First World War, and later data from the sailors who had fallen in the Second World War were added. Since its takeover by the German Naval Federation on May 30, 1954, it also recalls the sailors of all nations who remained on the seas. See also the U 995, which can be visited opposite.

For 48 years, the submarine is now at this point. Those who have never been in it should do it at least once.

You should not just walk past the submarine. A look inside reveals the space in which the crew lived for weeks. That's impressive.

The submarine, which was commissioned in 1943, is a tourist highlight. After World War II it was used as a school boat by the Norwegian Navy until 1965. Now it has found a worthy place as a technical museum where you can vividly explore the inner workings of a submarine.

A memorial with historical and memorable reference. A worthwhile visit, with interesting exhibits and memorials that also remind you of the horrors of war.
A large area with an observation tower, memorial, information rooms and the opportunity to visit the submarine 995 on display across from the memorial.
