The municipal port of Strande is the first marina on the west bank of the fjord when entering the Kiel Outer Fjord. The formerly old fishing port is now a popular sport boat harbor with seven jetties, 350 berths for sailing and motor boats with a water depth of 2.6 - 4.0 meters. The sheltered harbor offers a good infrastructure with two slipways, a ship and mast crane, a boat filling station and the shipyard of the Kiel Yacht Club.hafen-strande.de/startseite

At the "Friedrichsorter Enge" the fjord, which forms a natural deep-water harbor, is only one kilometer wide and was previously secured by the Friedrichsort fortress.Kiel Inner Fjord, looking northeast.
