The wolf rises at a height of over 950 m in the northern Black Forest near the Alexander ski jump on the wooded sandstone surface of the Kniebis. It first flows in a southeasterly direction to Bad Rippoldsau, which is already counted among the Middle Black Forest, then takes a southwesterly direction to Oberwolfach, before finally covering the last of the 31 km of its course southwards to the mouth of the Kinzig in Wolfach. ...
