Over 32 meters, the water falls directly over the Burgbach rock. The Bächelein meanders through the Burgbachtal and flows into the Wolf. The premium hiking trails "Klösterle loop" leads to the Burgbachwassserfall. Various hiking trails lead to the waterfall. Next to the waterfall is the Burgbachelsen, on which stands a viewing pavilion. From here you have a wonderful panoramic view.

According to Wikipedia, ´´The Burgbach waterfall near Bad Rippoldsau-Schapbach in the Black Forest is one of the highest free-falling waterfalls in Germany with a free fall height of 15 meters and a total height of 32 meters. The fall level is formed from resistant silicified sandstones of the Upper Rotliegend (Permian), which lie over more easily weathered and clearable granites. The waterfall is classified as a geological natural monument. The Burgbach then flows with a steep gradient to the Wolf.´´

very beautiful, idyllic waterfall in the middle of the forest.
Also not very far from the parking lot, so something for children who don't walk that far yet. Even if there is a few vertical meters on rel. short distance up, also for children. Especially when the goal is a waterfall.
