The Forcola Valley is a wild Alpine canyon that opens just beyond Alpe Solena, traversed by ancient military mule tracks, now wide walkways. Follow trail N145 to enter this rocky valley, characterized by an unusual landscape of carbonate rocks, dominated by the silhouette of Mount Sumbraida.Along the route, you'll pass the Fornelle and Forcola mountain huts, until you reach a strategic crossroads: continuing straight ahead leads to the Bocchetta di Forcola, the Italian front line during the Great War; turning right along trail N146.1 leads to the Bocchetta di Pedenolo.

From Val Forcola you can climb up to the Pedenolo plains, or go to the Reims Lake and then descend into the beautiful Val Mora (Switzerland).
