It's beautiful to look at from the outside, and the old estate (which included the Grootbos and Kiezelingenbos) and the vineyards are especially worth a visit for nature lovers. I'm not so keen on the wine, but I'd love to visit the interior sometime.A link with all the information you need: visitlimburg.be/nl/wat-te-doen/wijnkasteel-genoels-elderen

The park around the wine castle of Genoels-Elderen has a beautiful arboretum of ancient rare trees, a rose garden with almost 1,000 rose bushes in 24 different types and colors of both modern and classic varieties. You can visit the old coach house where you can see the ultra-modern can visit the grape press, the distillery of the Limburg Levenswater and the heart of the Wine Castle, the ancient and new wine cellars. You can round this off with a wine tasting. In a fascinating, humorous and interactive way, experienced guides inform you about the past, present and future of the domain, the architecture, the work in the vineyards and the entire vinification process from grape to glass.
The wines and digestives are the result of a unique terroir, healthy grapes, hard work and intense passion and cannot be compared with any other product.

This Wine Castle is maybe 100 meters from the actual route, but is a nice place to be. You enter this idyllic place through the main entrance and you can enjoy the surroundings and possibly a snack and a drink. It is also possible to take a guided tour through the park, the rose garden and the largest vineyards in Belgium.
