The Sint-Martinuskerk in Berg, a sub-municipality of Tongeren, Belgium, is a Romanesque church dedicated to Martinus van Tours. The church stands on a church hill. Although the church was changed and renovated over the centuries, during the restoration of 1984-1989 the building was physically restored and disturbing renovations and adjustments were eliminated. The nave dates from the 11th century, the tower from the 12th century. In 1197 the church was added to the chapter of Tongeren and contributed financially to the construction of the Basilica of Our Lady of Tongeren. Troops of Louis XIV plundered the church and in 1746 soldiers of Louis XV did it again. In 1795, the French revolutionaries confiscated the church and burned the church archives. Under the altar, a 2nd century Four Gods stone was discovered in 1869 depicting Fortuna, goddess of abundance, Mercury, god of prosperity and profit, Ceres or Abundantia, goddess of agriculture. The fourth side is damaged beyond repair. The stone is exhibited in the Curtius Museum in Liège.
