In front of the town hall stands one of the most representative monuments of Ljubljana, the fountains of the Krainer rivers (three dolphins and watermen symbolize the Rivers Save, Krka and Ljubljanica), created in 1751 by Francesco Robba, the great master of the Ljubljana sculptor workshop of the first half of the 18th century. c.

Before entering the entrance, admire the Robba Fountain, also known as the Fountain of Three Krain Rivers, in the town square, aka 'Mestni trg'. This Baroque monument by the 18th-century Venetian sculptor Francesco Robba features ornate carvings of three river gods. In summer you can watch local musicians perform on the steps in front of the building or hear trumpets blaring from the balcony. These performances are reminiscent of earlier centuries, when the city's first trumpeters played ceremonial brass bands on important occasions.
