Wer sich heute vom niedersächsischen Jork in den Ortsteil Borstel aufmacht, den führt der Weg Richtung Elbe durch einen der schönsten Straßenzüge Jorks. Der Ortskern wird auch heute noch von dem Ensemble von Kirche, Windmühle, dem alten Hafen und den am Fleet angereihten Fachwerkhäusern bestimmt. Auf der linken Seite liegt die Kleine Seite, auf der rechten die Große Seite. Wie die Straßennamen vermuten lassen, lagen in der Großen Seite die Wohnhäuser der besser gestellten Einwohner Borstels. Der Werth’sche Hof zählt hierbei zu den prachtvollsten Häusern der Straße.

T-shaped, listed half-timbered building with a two-story residential building and a thatched commercial section on the back.
Inside, richly carved spiral staircase and doors from the Baroque period.
