In 1899 the Hasemann hut was built on the Farrenkopf. In front of the two-storey cottage you will find tables and benches to rest, while you can enjoy the great view of the valley. The hut at 780 meters altitude is named after the painter Wilhelm Hasemann, founder of the Gutach painter colony.
At the hut a sign shows you the way to a well. The way there leads you however again a good way down the valley.

The benches in front of the hut offer another opportunity for a short break before the steep descent to Hausach.
The hut itself was first built in 1899 and has now undergone a reconstruction and various restorations.
Every year on January 1st, the New Year's Shock is celebrated by the Black Forest Club Gutach.
