After serving the Adamshof for over 350 years, the grain mill, one of the oldest in the Black Forest, had to make way for the new federal highway in the rear Kinzig valley. It was placed in the Black Forest Open Air Museum as a technical monument, and the technical equipment, including the mill and stamping machine, was preserved in its entirety - and still works today. Only the old mill housing, with its brittle masonry and rotten wood, was in such a desolate state that a new mill housing had to be built.
