The Brentano Park was transformed into a public park by Max Bromme between 1927 and 1930. In 1931, the park was given a teaching pavilion on a semicircular floor plan with round columns and a surrounding band of windows, based on a design by the architect Eugen Kaufmann, who worked under city planning officer Ernst May. A radially aligned school garden was arranged in front of it.
