The forest classroom used to be a shelter for forest workers, the so-called Gretengrundhütte.

On the initiative and with the help of the two Eberbach service clubs, Rotary and Lions, this shelter was completely renovated and expanded in 2004.

A classroom was created in the middle of the forest.

The forest classroom exists today
a large, comfortable interior (classroom) with tables, chairs and benches and with teaching and learning materials,

A small stream flows right next to the forest classroom.

In winter, the classroom can be heated with wood.

High school graduates from the HSG installed a photovoltaic system as part of a project. Since then, the power supply for lights and examination equipment has been secured.
