The "Funkübertragungsstelle Göttingen 2 Osterberg" or "Fernsehturm Göttingen" or "Fernsehturm Osterberg" or "Sender Bovenden" stands on the Osterberg at an altitude of 341 m above sea level. The tower had its start of construction on 07.03.1972 and was completed after 1.5 years. It has a foundation plate made of reinforced concrete of 4.60 m depth and 20 m in diameter. The tower itself is 155 m high and thus offers all hikers a good orientation point. In the right light, it offers photographers a great subject.
