The Uettelsheimer lake is a lake in the Duisburg district Homberg and forms a recreational area. In the south, it borders the Homberg Park Cemetery, in the northeast to the particleboard fabik Hornitex.
Gravel excavation resulted in a water area of 23 ha, whose surroundings (97 ha) were expanded from 1969 to 1992. Thus, the shorelines were prepared, created paths and a park landscape and created retreats for flora and fauna.
In the immediate vicinity of the lake, there are 7.5 km of hiking trails, including a 3.5 km long, partly near shore trail. On the southwestern shore is a water playground. The lake is a fishing spot, bathing facilities are not available and should also be avoided.
