Cycling

Calw, also known as the city on the water, was first mentioned in documents in 1075. Squeezed into the narrow Nagold valley lies the charming town with its over two hundred listed buildings, which reflect the city's former wealth. Hermann Hesse came from Calw, as did several other poets and thinkers. The pedestrian zone is one of the most beautiful in southern Germany, due to the beautiful houses.
