If you like big birds or are looking for new blood, visit Rühstädt, Germany's most beautiful stork village. I may say so, because I also visited two others, who adorn themselves with the stork title. The village is located in the Elbauen of the restful Prignitz, is in the months of mid-March to the end of August, the breeding home of stork couples from Western and South Africa. This summer there were about 30 storks, 25 of them as breeding pairs. Everything is about the storks here. You will find refreshments and lookouts. And the village gets along without modern stalls magic or architectural infatuation. On the outskirts there is a NABU information center with live camera to a nest on the house. Very informative!
