Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau, born Friedrich Wilhelm Plumpe, died in California in 1931, was one of the most important German silent film directors.
His films "The Last Man" from 1924 (with Emil Jannings) and "Tabu" from 1931 are still touching today. You can also still experience performances of "Nosferatu - Symphony of Horrors" today. We saw it in 2019 with live musical accompaniment in front of a predominantly young audience at the Potsdam Film Museum.

The three-axis grave architecture made of travertine above the crypt bears Murnau's bronze bust by the hand of Ludwig Manzel.
