So that we always have the history of our Diepholzer Heimat in mind now and in the future, the Heimatverein Aschen von 1960 e.V. has set up the Aschen Heimatmuseum on a voluntary basis. On 8,000 square meters, there are renovated or rebuilt buildings that illustrate life and work in the past. A granary from 1741 shows tools for peat extraction, for making wooden shoes, for baking, slaughtering and life on the farm.There is also a village blacksmith's shop from the 18th century, a Göpelhaus, a carpentry as well as an apiary, sheepfold, barn and shed on the museum grounds. There is also an old village school. The showpiece here is a restored loom from 1878, on which the art of weaving is demonstrated on opening days.In the Aschen local history museum, you will discover details at every point that bring local history to life. A visit is also worthwhile for families, school classes and travel groups.

The Aschen local history museum welcomes its visitors with numerous interesting sights on an area of approx. 8,000 m².
