Although the path marked with a blue dot on a white background is no longer a public footpath (entering at your own risk), you can not get any closer to both waters at the same time. The path is sometimes really narrow and you have great views. With ice you have to be really careful, otherwise you end up in or on the Löcknitz.

The blue dot on a white background is the official 66 Lakes Trail. The narrow section is spectacular, but if the weather is bad, I always prefer to walk around the outside of the Wupatzsee.
