The "Green House", built in 1727 as a hunting lodge, was used by the dukes as bad weather accommodation and "dining room". It is located in a forest clearing near the Rieseneck hunting facility and has a kitchen, a living room, several bedrooms on the upper floor and attic and a balcony. Here the hunting guests were accommodated. The adjoining coach house with hayloft was used to house the carriages and horses.

The dukes' hunting guests, who were mostly accommodated in the Fröhliche Nachkunft and Hummelshain castles, then found their way to Rieseneck and prepared for the hunt in the "Green House", while their carriages were parked in the coach house, which still exists today.

Built in 1727 as a hunting lodge and then used as a bad weather house by the Duchess. A beautiful area, many beautiful hiking trails lead to the green house and benches invite you to linger.
