The oldest surviving part of the Romanesque church is the west tower from the 12th century. The core of the nave also dates from this period, as small round-arched windows can be seen in the masonry. During renovation work in the 14th century, the nave received simple Gothic windows that are not structured by tracery, but are designed in the style of a "nun's head". In the choir, on the other hand, there are completely unstructured windows. Further renovation work took place in the 17th century.

The picturesquely situated and St. Agatha of Catania and St. Sebastian (Kopatron) chapel was first mentioned in 1182 and has been rebuilt several times over the centuries. The three baroque altars are well worth seeing.
