The "Haus zur Tanne", formerly a hotel, is located at Marktstrasse 20. Wolfgang von Goethe stayed in this baroque building, which was built in the shape of a fir tree in 1689, in 1777 on his way to a trip to the Harz Mountains.
The entire exterior facade is richly decorated with ornaments and filigree figures.
