Viewpoint Im Stöckach – View of Gerlingen and Engelbergturm

Viewpoint in the forest with seating, which unfortunately offers little to no view in the summer months. However, as soon as the leaves are a little sparser, you have a good view from here to Gerlingen and the Strohgäu, as well as to the Engelberg tower.

Gerlingen is a town northwest of Stuttgart and about ten kilometers from the district town of Ludwigsburg in Baden-Württemberg in the Ludwigsburg district. It belongs to the Stuttgart region (until 1992 the Middle Neckar region) and the European metropolitan region of Stuttgart.
Gerlingen is the southernmost municipality in the Ludwigsburg district and is 336 meters above sea level.
Gerlingen includes the city of Gerlingen, the districts of Gehenbühl and Schillerhöhe and the houses of Bopser, Forchenrain, Gerlinger Heide, Glemstal, Krummbachtal and Stöckach, as well as the abandoned villages of Hausen am Gerlinger See, Höferle and Richtenberg Castle.
The Im Stöckach viewpoint is located on the southern slope and the Im Stöckach forest area of Gerlingen.
From there you have a view of Gerlingen and also of Engelberg with its Engelberg tower. In the winter months the view is better, otherwise the view is somewhat restricted by the foliage of the trees.
There is also a bench there that invites you to take a look.
