Baita Saltner (Saltner Schwaige) is located at 1,740 m above sea level, a short distance from Saltria, a well-known resort on the Alpe di Siusi. The livestock of the farmers of Castelrotto have always grazed on these meadows, cared for by the "Saltner", the herdsman of the mountain hut. The current structure, operational since 2011, offers catering services with typical South Tyrolean cuisine. For the more daring, in summer there is the possibility of sleeping in the barn.
