At the end of the 18th century, the Belzig cantor Christian Gottlieb Reißiger lived here, whose eldest son, Carl Gottlieb Reißiger, worked as a composer and court conductor in Dresden. The Reißigerhaus is named after him. Today the house houses apartments and offices.
