The evangelical town church St. Marien is a church building made of field stone and brick masonry in the transition style between late Romanesque and early Gothic in Treuenbrietzen. The church was founded before 1217. The existing building was built from the second decade to the third quarter of the 13th century as a cruciform pillar basilica in the bound system, obviously under the influence of the churches in Lehnin and Zinna.
