    Hiking

    Everyone in Lüneburg is happy that this bridge is back. It took nine months to repair and caused major traffic chaos during that time. I really like it with its painted design, and it offers a way to reach the new housing development "Ilmenaugarten/An der Wittenberger Bahn" on foot or by bicycle. You also cross a weir and can enjoy a nice view along the drainage ditch from there. An information panel provides some historical details.

    "Schröder's Garden" can be reached via Friedenstrasse when coming from the city center.

    The path to "Schröders Garten" is also open again in the summer. It leads via Friedenstrasse and under the bridge.

    Hiking

    As an island, but also as part of the Speicherstadt (Warehouse District), which is crisscrossed by numerous canals, the Wandrahm has a relatively high density of bridges.

    Bridges over the Zollkanal (Customs Canal) that connect the Wandrahm to the Old Town:

    Jungfernbrücke (Maiden's Bridge): pedestrian bridge between Katharinenkirchhof and Neuer Wandrahm; its name corresponded to the Kleiner Jungfernstieg (Little Maiden's Path), which, before the construction of the Speicherstadt, lay between Neuer Wandrahm and Holländische Reihe (today St. Annenufer);

    Kornhausbrücke (Granary Bridge): from Brandstwiete to Bei St. Annen, named after the granary that existed at Neuer Wandrahm until 1871;
