The Alter Park park is located in the Tempelhof district of Berlin between Parkstrasse and Tempelhofer Damm. It originated in the 19th century.
The park is part of a larger facility which, together with the Bose Park, Franckepark and Lehnepark, forms a local recreation area in Tempelhof. In the middle of the park is the Klarensee, which arose from a dead ice hole. The lake had to be renatured in 2007 and 2008. Among other things, shallow water zones were created so that reeds could be planted there.

Hiking
Between the Tempelhofer Damm and the Lehnepark in Alt-Tempelhof is the park Alter Park with the Klarensee. The park is popular with runners because it is connected to other parks. Benches to stay are available.
