For a long time there was a windmill where the Bismarck Tower stands today. Here it was not only exposed to the wind, but also attracted lightning. It caught fire several times and finally burned out all the way to the mill stump. The Bismarck Society acquired the remains and erected the present monument in 1909. It can be seen from afar and can serve as a landmark for those who are unfamiliar with the area. Those who climb the tower can enjoy a wonderful view.

Hiking

Originally a windmill (ruin) that was converted into a lookout tower. The tower is locked, but the key should be borrowed from the neighboring hotel.
From the observation deck you should have a nice view of the Münsterland. There is also an equally beautiful view 200m further into the village from the "Münsterlandblick" car park, but a tower always remains something special.
