The Lengerich Canyon was created after the largest quarry in the region was abandoned and is now home to many protected animal and plant species. We alternate between beautiful, varied forests 🌳🌲 and meadow valleys 🌾🌱. Depending on the wind direction 🌬 we can hear the motorway 🛣 for a short stretch on about 2 km of the route. Otherwise it is quiet and we listen to the chirping of the birds 🐦.
