Germerode Monastery

Founded by the Count of Bilstein around 1140 to serve as a gateway to heaven. Today used as a spiritual, Christian place, an ecumenically open conference house offers space for religious seekers.

Today I was lucky enough to visit this monastery church from the inside as well. During the visit I somehow felt very comfortable and secure 😊.
Admission was free.
A donation was gladly accepted 😉😀.
The outdoor area, including a small herb and flower garden, is very nicely laid out.
The monastery park is across the street, with various special trees 🌳 🌲.

The monastery complex is freely accessible, the church interior and the sensory garden behind it can be visited.
During the poppy blossom in Germerode, a picture exhibition takes place in the monastery.
