"St. Mary's Church, first mentioned in 1298, is considered to be the most imposing building in Stralsund, and in 1382 or 1384 the tower collapsed due to insufficiently stabilized ground and smashed parts of the former church building. Source: hansestadt-stralsund.de

A tower climb is very worth seeing! You have a wonderful view of the city structure of Stralsund.

        St. Mary's Church

It is the largest building of the Low German brick Gothic in Stralsund. The mighty westwork is impressive. It was built from 1416.

The height of the tower is 104 meters. It is worth climbing the tower of St. Mary's Church. From its top you have a unique view of the city, the surrounding landscape and the island of Rügen.

The interior of the church is fascinating because of its height and width. The famous Stellwagen organ dates from the 17th century.
