About Flipper61

Today's 12th stage leads over 102.21 kilometers (*) from Haren an der Ems (NI) to Emsdetten (NRW). So I got back to the starting state.
I tried to drive either "close to the water" on the DO-Ems Canal or along the Ems. Most of the time it worked, but sometimes I drifted quite a bit, because today's topic…

Today's stage led over 120.21 kilometers from Termunterzijl (NL / Groningen) to Haren an der Ems in Lower Saxony.
Hardly back on German soil, I had to get a little upset. Immediately after crossing the border, all the bike paths stopped for the time being...you would be guided over the main road.

Today's 10th stage led over 108.86 kilometers from Holwerd (Fryslan) to Termunterzijl (Groningen)
I basically followed the course of the coastal cycle path, but sometimes had to deviate to rest my legs a little.

After a delicious and fruity-fresh breakfast and a look back at the village of Wijckel, the 9th stage started.
Since I've been in Fryslan since yesterday, all town signs are labeled twice. In the top row "Dutch", in the middle "Frisian" (which is a language of its own and underneath which municipality…

Today's 8th stage led from Almere back north-east to the IJsselmeer.
Since the wind was blowing quite hard again, I was offered the inland side to drive, since there should always be protection from the wind by trees and forests.
I saw the trees and forests, but didn't notice the protection.
But the most…

Today's short stage (7th stage) led from Enkhuizen over the Markermeer to Almere.
Almere wasn't on my planned route, but what's the point of planning when you can visit a friend.

Today's 6th stage led from Sint Martenszee via Julianadorp a.Z., Den Helder, Anna Pawlowna to Den Oever. Because the Afsluitdijk was closed to cyclists and pedestrians (I didn't want to take the bus), I then started the route around the IJsselmeer...that was a good thing, because I had wind from behind…

Today's 5th stage took me from Katwijk (only) to Sint Maartenszee.
The wind that prevailed from the beginning from the same direction as yesterday was a little stronger today.
Even the great landscape and the wonderful weather couldn't change the fact that at some point your legs didn't want to go anymore…

After I had to cross almost the entire city from south to north from the hotel, I crossed the Rhine bridge and then turned left.
The further route then via Rotterdam, Hook of Holland, The Hague to Katwijk.
I ended there for today, because the route from Hoek van Holland (travelling north-east) to Katwijk…

Today's 13th stage led over 155.66 kilometers from Emsdetten to Wesel.
After a short drive through town I was back on route.
First along the Ems cycle path over beautiful side roads and paved forest paths. The Ems cycle path does not have a fixed course. parallel to the river.
On these side roads I passed…
